DogeEmoji started with a very specific frustration: the internet is full of glossy "best dog products" lists that read like they were written by someone who has never cleaned muddy paw prints off a hallway at 7 a.m. — twice — before coffee.

We write about everyday dog supplies from real-life scenarios instead: the fast eater who finishes dinner in nine seconds, the double-coated shedding machine in April, the senior dog who hesitates before jumping onto the couch, the puppy meeting her first Michigan winter. Every guide on this site starts with a situation, not a product.

How we research

We are a small editorial team of long-time dog owners. Our articles are built from three sources: published product specifications from manufacturers, aggregated owner feedback patterns across marketplaces and communities, and our own day-to-day experience of what a product category needs to survive real use. When we describe a product type, we focus on the features that matter in practice — materials, sizing, cleaning, safety — rather than marketing claims.

We do not publish star ratings or "test lab" scores. Wherever we haven't personally long-term tested a specific item, we say so, and our picks are framed as starting points for your own research, not verdicts.
